IT specialist m/f/x

As an IT specialist, the things you will learn include how to distinguish between operating systems and where they are used, how to apply programming methods and how to fit hardware and software components into existing systems and put them into operation.

Training as an IT specialist is the right choice if you were particularly good at mathematics, English and IT in school.

Requirements

Good GCSEs

Good knowledge specifically of English, mathematics and IT

Logical thinking and basic technical understanding

Diligence, flexibility, stamina and good concentration

An affinity for working at the computer

Length of the apprenticeship: 3 years

Areas of work

Planning and configuration of IT systems by integrating hardware and software components

Use of modern specialised and diagnostic applications for the systematic containment and elimination of faults

Management of projects for the design, installation, expansion and support of computer systems

Installation of networks and the analysis and rectification of problems

Preparation of documentation

Use of project management and programming methodology to resolve application problems

Installation and maintenance of components to ensure network security (e.g. filter or anti-virus programs).
